Stuff.
Here is some other stuff I’ve built.
Cow Tools
An obscure Far Side cartoon from 1982. Somehow I was the first person to make them real.
The Literal Blockchain
Sick of hearing about The Blockchain? Me too. I can’t even mention the stupid thing without 8000 Blockchain Bros insta-following me on Twitter. I decided to create my own, the only Blockchain that matters, a literal one. I asked all my Twitter pals to buy in and added their names to it. Over 150 nodes and counting. It’s a lovely decoration snaking through the ceiling of my shop.
The Midlife Crisis Machine
A MAME cabinet. Before there were Raspberry Pies, before there was social media, before there was much of anything on The Internet, I built this. There’s a Pentium III machine running an unpatched, original version of Windows XP, a 20 inch CRT that weighs more than a large boulder the size of a small boulder, and a hand-wired arcade control board with three joysticks, a trackball and a spinner. I’m not going to play Tempest with a joystick like some savage.
I imagined when the Empire fell they sold off all their surplus hardware and The Brands bought it all up. Bandai 1/144 AT-AT kit.
It's a wood shed. You put wood in it.
Cornhole board for a gathering of Internet nerds.
I'm pretty good at making ribs
Took a blacksmith class. Made this with a hammer and fire.
Made these sweet blacksmith tongs.
Halloween costume
My kid had just read a lot of Calvin and Hobbes and wanted to be a barrel of toxic waste for Halloween so I did what I had to do.
The Death Star. It played the Star Wars theme when you pressed a button.
I made this picture of an eclipse.
Made this dragon in blacksmith class but, sadly, I left it at the forge.
